Cards for Good Causes sells charity Christmas cards from temporary shops set up in sites such as churches, libraries, community centres, tourist information centres and museums.
In most shops Cards for Good Causes also sells a range of Christmas Goods, purchased by them, including advent calendars, Christmas wrapping paper and gift tags and the profit from these goods helps meet some of the costs of running the temporary charity Christmas card shops.
Cards for Good Causes can usually be found at the back of the Church from October until December from Monday to Saturday each week. Customers can access the Church through the main entrance to buy cards, gift wrap and much more.
Our main church is used weekly by local Brownie and Guide groupson a Thursday evening at 7:30pm. The girls have participated in many church events in past years.

Harpenden Choral Society meet at URC Harpenden every Tuesday at 8pm. HCS is a highly regarded amateur choir with an established reputation for quality performances with professional soloists and orchestras. Since its formation in 1975 the choir has grown from strength to strength and our repertoire now includes most of the major choral works as well as some lesser-known works and contemporary pieces.
"We perform four concerts a year including a much-loved carol concert and we hold an open workshop or Come and Sing event once a year. Most concerts are in the Harpenden area but the choir has also performed further afield. We recently sang Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony with Stevenage Choral Society in Stevenage and also supported The Hospice of St Francis, Berkhamsted at St Albans Cathedral."
