Harpenden URC Children & Families Minister

Baby Roos is our group for new-borns to pre-walkers (with their parent/carer) and feeds into Kangaroo Club. 

The group runs on Tuesday mornings from 10:30pm to 11:45pm during term times. There is a small fee for each family which includes refreshments for all.

Bring your babies to a nice quiet environment where you can relax with a coffee and meet many other new-borns parents.

This group is specifically for non-walking babies where they can lie, sit or crawl around safely without the fear of getting hurt by young children running around.

Kangaroo club is our Toddler Group for 1 to 4 year olds (with their parent/carer), we meet in the Church weekly and have been doing so for over 40 years! 

Our group runs on Friday mornings from 10 - 11.15am during term time, there is a small fee per session for each family which includes refreshments for all. 

At the end of the sessions we have song time, the children and adults have great fun singing along to the various songs. There is also a simple craft activity on offer to the children every week. 

You may have seen that we have a large astra turf area 

that is like a mini playground with  outdoor activities. 

We use this as often as possible when weather permitting. 

It's an enclosed fenced area for the children to run around

and burn off their energy.

Kangaroo club is also a great way to get your child comfortable with the setting if you wish to send them to the Harpenden URC Preschool once they are old enough!
